About

Anneleen Swillen (°1992, BE) holds a master’s degree in Object and Jewellery design (PXL-MAD School of Arts, Hasselt, Be) and a postgraduate in Curatorial Studies (Kask School of Arts, Ghent, Be). Currently she is working on a PhD research in the arts on presentation within contemporary art jewellery practice (Hasselt University and PXL-MAD, School of Arts, Hasselt, Be). Central to her artistic practice, which consists of the creation of jewellery and objects, photo series and short films, curatorial projects and open group conversations, within the context of various collaborations, is to consider presentation a starting point, medium, exercise and process rather than a static outcome, product or end result.
